Bustier Tops
People nowadays are fond of getting cosmetic surgeries just so they can enhance the features of their bodies. They have their fats sucked out, their bodies
contoured, and even their chest enlarged because this is what they think a perfect body looks like. But in reality, you do not need to go through all those harsh and invasive procedures just to get the body you want. There are more natural and simpler means of shaping your body and one of them is through the use of bustier tops. These are form fitting garments that are lined with a carefully shaped boning to help contour the body as well as built in cups and underwire to instantly lift the bust and make it look fuller.
What is a bustier?
Originally, bustier tops were created as undergarments way back in 1950s. Women in those days have a different perception of beauty that they see women who are quite rubenesque with full chests as attractive which is why they are accustomed to wearing undergarments that help cinch their waists and push up their chest. And that is exactly what a bustier top does. It is a type of long line brassiere which is intended to provide support for the chest and provide shape for the body. It is usually made from stretchy materials to help suck in the bulges of the body and it is designed without straps so that it can be worn with tube top gowns as well as dresses with low back. The back of a bustier is usually enclosed with lace, hooks, or ribbons and can be adjusted according to the body type of the wearer.
Many still confuse bustier tops with corsets. Basically, what makes a bustier different is its length. It is normally made waist length meaning, from the bust, the boned material extends all the way down to the rib cage and stops just at the waist. Corsets, on the other hand, usually extend to the hips as they are often connected with hooks to the stockings or tights worn on the legs.
How to wear your bustier tops?
Nowadays, bustier tops are not only worn as undergarments. Rather, many fashion designers already incorporate the use of bustier in most of their designs. It is now very common to see women wearing bustiers as a blouse or outer garment as they look really fashionable. However, if you are planning to get your own bustier top, there are still a few things that you need to consider. Here are a few simple tips that you can follow:
- A bustier top is necessarily form fitting so that it can smooth out the contours of your body but this does not mean that you have to get it in small sizes. This will only provide you with discomfort. What you can do is to make sure that you know your body’s right measurements so that you can get the right sized bustier for your figure.
- If you plan to use it as an undergarment, then get something that is simple, with no beading so that it would look natural under your form fitting dress. But if you like to wear it as a blouse, then you can probably get something with more elaborate designs like lace trimmings, ribbons, and beads. Pair it with great skinny jeans for a trendy and stylish look. You can also wear it over a plain shirt or tank top.
